  1. Happy Birthday Andy (for whenever it was, presumably a little while ago now)! What an epic journey and I’m sure you’re right, you’ll look back on it with pride and affection when you’re back in London. I’d say that beer was well earned – shame you didn’t have 3 friends alongside you in that bar so that, after downing your beer, you could have gasped “Worth waiting for…”

  2. Happy belatedbirthday Andy! I loved reading your walkalogue, full of dry wit and sharp observations. I’m amazed at how much Portuguese and Spanish you understand after only 2 years in Sao Paulo. It took me5 years. Enjoy the world cup and good luck back in London. If you ever write that book about your adventures in Brazil and Peru i for one would love to get my hands on it.
